How cleaning with Britex keeps my asthma at bay.

As an asthmatic, I’ve had to take certain measures over the years to eliminate triggers in my day-to-day life. These include keeping my inhaler close at hand, removing hypoallergenic plants from the garden and avoiding my neighbour’s cat at all costs. But despite my best efforts, one household offender in particular has continued to wreak havoc on my asthma: my carpets.

I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent looking for a place with hardwood floors on realestate.com.au. I’ve considered having the carpets replaced in every room, which would cost an absolute fortune. I’ve used every carpet cleaner under the sun to rid my apartment of dust mites and allergens. I had nearly resigned myself to hiring a professional cleaner to come in each week just so I could live without fear of an asthma attack.

I spoke to a friend about my dilemma and he suggested that I try using a Britex. He’d seen a display down at Bunnings advertising Britex Carpet Cleaners for hire. He said they were available for a really decent price – starting from under $40 for 24 hours – and that he and his wife were thinking of getting one for themselves. Considering my carpet care track record, I was doubtful. But I didn’t have anything to lose. I swung by Bunnings and picked one up that afternoon.

After a quick deep clean with the Britex machine, my symptoms miraculously disappeared. I no longer felt that all too familiar tightness in my chest and the accompanying raspy cough. I felt like I was literally breathing new life into the place.

I’ve since bought my own Britex Carpet Cleaning Machine, and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’m simply amazed at how a quick deep clean every couple of months has improved my quality of life at home. My asthma is now well under control and I no longer have to worry about moving house. I’ve finally made peace with my carpets.
